Dr. Johnnie Cook is chair of the Board of Directors. Scott Swift has volunteered. They welcome volunteers and donations to help us achieve our mission of providing free, easy-access, non-judgmental charitable medical, dental, vision, and mental health care to the underserved.

In 1988, Dr. Floyd Seager, a local physician, saw a man collapse on the street in Ogden and went to his aid. He learned that the man was homeless and didn’t have any access to medical care. Dr. Seager had to do something, so he and his wife, Dauna, founded the clinic in partnership with the Ogden Rescue Mission on September 16, 1988. The Seagers have since passed away, but their legacy lives on, with over 170 volunteers involved in the Seager Memorial Clinic. Top professionals in the area provide volunteer medical, dental, vision, and mental health care, and the entire Board of Directors and all officers of the clinic are volunteer positions. We have two part-time paid employees.

VOLUNTEER -

We need volunteer physicians, providers, pharmacists, pharm techs, RNs, MAs, Spanish interpreters, and front desk receptionists.

•We have shifts available Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 3-6 PM. You’re welcome to volunteer as little as once in a while, once a month, or weekly!

•Spanish interpreters can be on call by telephone if needed.

•Contact our Clinic Manager, April, at april@seagerclinic.org to get started.

DONATE

Make a  one-time donation here  or consider being a Legacy Donor by donating $1,000 per year for at least 5 years! We have over 30 Legacy Donors who are committed to the ongoing success and growth of the Seager Memorial Clinic and the patients we serve. Contact our Executive Director, Jerika, at jerika@seagerclinic.org if you can support our work.”

MALPRACTICE COVERAGE -

Our volunteer physicians and providers are protected from liability under the “Healthcare Providers Immunity from Liability Act” UT Title 58-13-3. Patients sign a waiver when they sign in for medical care. They are covered as long as their license is active. If they are retired, we can guide them through the process of applying for a “retired license”; through DOPL. It’s a fairly easy process and doesn’t cost any money. We have a handful of retired medical volunteers that have “retired license”; in order to volunteer with us.
